For most people, slipping on the golf gear and heading out to the links is revitalizing, soothing and stimulating. Despite of where you play golf, on a public course or at a private club, there are a few rules for how you could dress. Alternatively, going to a driving range is a more solitary activity, destined for practice, rather than for showing off. Unless you are using a driving range at a private club, there are minimum restrictions for dress.

If you are going to a private club, then the rules of clothing and etiquette will administer all areas of the club, as well as the driving range. On a public driving range, though, there are minimum or even no rules at all. If that is the case, then you must dress for comfortable movement. Of course, no one is saying that you should dress yourself in whatever the heck you discover prowling on the bedroom floor, but you do not have to get your dress whites out of the closet for a tour to the driving range either.

If the climate is hot, then you should ensure that you are dressed to shield yourself from suntan and overheating first and foremost. Cotton wicks sweat away from your body, keeping you cooler and drier. Cotton is usually soft, comfy and flexible also, making it a good preference. For women, ensure that you are wearing a top which could put up a good supportive bra, though it looks odd to many people, there is a lot more movement involved in golf. Check to make certain that arm and neck holes are cut well and lay flat in order that there is no chafing. Both genders must ensure that the tops they are wearing are snug enough to not interfere with the swing, but not so stretched that they interfere with breathing. In cooler weather conditions, commence with a long sleeved top and layer a sweatshirt or light jacket over top of it, bearing in mind similar principles.

For the bottom half, consider your comfort level, and the season. For warmer weather practice sessions, shorts are fine, yet again considering the material and fit. Make certain that shorts for any sex are cut long enough to keep the thighs from chafing, with soft, breathable materials. And lastly, for shoe wear: make certain that you wear shoes that will shield your feet, offer great footing for your safety and even permit your feet to have freedom of movement and breath ability.
